FAQs

It depends on the conditions you expect. Around 10K waterproofing works well for many everyday mountain days, while 15K and 20K provide increasing protection for wetter or snowier conditions. GORE-TEX sits at the premium end of ROXY’s current waterproof assortment.

For many resort days and lighter conditions, yes. If you regularly ride in heavy snowfall, wetter snow or prolonged storm conditions, a higher waterproof rating may give you more protection.

The first 10K refers to waterproofing. The second 10K refers to breathability. Together, they describe how well the fabric keeps outside moisture out while allowing moisture vapor from inside the garment to escape.

Not necessarily. GORE-TEX provides waterproof, windproof and breathable weather protection, but it is not insulation by itself. Warmth depends on the insulation inside the garment and the layers you wear underneath.

Choose a shell if you want maximum control over layering. Choose an insulated jacket if you want more warmth built directly into your outerwear.

Your jacket should allow you to move your arms and upper body comfortably while leaving enough room for the layers you plan to wear underneath. ROXY offers slim, tailored, regular, relaxed and oversized options depending on how close or roomy you prefer your fit.

Useful mountain-ready features include a helmet-compatible hood, powder skirt, wrist gaiters, mesh-lined vents, lift-pass pocket, goggle storage and jacket-to-pant attachment system.

Always follow the garment’s individual care label. In general, waterproof outerwear should be washed gently, dried according to the product instructions and stored completely dry. Proper care helps preserve waterproof coatings, seams and overall performance.
