Snow Sessions Around the World checks in with some of our athletes and their time around the globe! Next up is Billy Pelchat hailing from Whistler, BC. Billy recently took her first trip to Japan with her family and it sounds like they got it during absolutely epic conditions.
1.Where are you located at this moment and what mountain (or city) are you in?
I am currently in Japan! I was in Tokyo for a few days but now we made over to the mountains and are staying in Myoko. We are shredding many sick resorts around us!
2. Snow report! How is the snow there? What are the conditions like?
Conditions are normal jaPOW condition. It’s dumping with a chill 60-80 cms overnight and even some beautiful blue bird pow days couldn’t ask for better weather.
3.What makes that place special, and why did you want to visit there?
We came to Japan for my dad’s 50th birthday, he organized a massive birthday bash trip with 30 of his friends including people from the Wildcat Crew and many other legendary riders and friends. It was such an amazing trip to experience. I am so thankful to grow up with such a rad snowboard family. Japan is such a magical place that I got to experience with some magical people.
4.What do you like about the ROXY piece you are wearing?
During my pow filled trip I would rotate between the Roxy life jacket and Chloe Kim red pullover insulated jacket
paired with the The Wood Rose Insulated Snow Pants, these are some of my favourite pieces. The baggy fit of the snow pants are perfect for shredding pow since I can move comfortably in them, they are also my favourite since they feel supper airy with the vents open while I hike to some sweet pow areas. The hydrosmart technology helps my skin feel great as I get some sick face shots.
5. Is there anything you’re looking forward to for the remainder of the season?
I am so excited for the rest of the season I have many sick things coming up. I am looking forward to more travelling/adventures, many of my competitions coming up, backcountry and more.

Next up is Megan Oldham coming off from a historic win for women and skiing.
