Snow - Team Amateurs
Hey, my name is Joanie Robichaud I am from Quebec city and actually living in Whistler. I decided to move there because of the huge diversity of the riding zones it is just too amazing to ride whatever you want whenever you want. What I like the most about it is hiking, making camp fires, building jumps, finding fresh snow or just chilling with my friends in the backcountry. Snowboarding makes me feel free and I'm definitely addicted to it. Some other things are also making me feel free, Such as painting and drawing during my free time. Thank's to all the Roxy team for supporting me, i'm glad to be a part of your family.
Hey, My name is Marie-Andree Racine and I'm 23 years old. I grew up in a little town in Lac St-Jean, Quebec and now live in the mountains of beautiful British Columbia, Squamish more precisely. I love the terrain that we've got around here, everything is possible, from riding untouched pow lines, tree runs to backcountry, then to ride some of the best parks in Canada, street rails and also some of the longest hit runs. It's awesome around here, so much to do. I also try to stay as active as possible in the off season, Skateboarding, Surfing, mountain biking, lots of training and I am also a kick boxing trainer here in Squamish. I'm really looking forward for this season to come, I feel like it's going to be a good one, And being on the Roxy team is going to make it so much better too. I'm looking forward to a lot of riding and traveling around, visiting new mountains and also do a lot of filming. This would not be possible if I didn't have the help and support that Roxy have been giving me. After 4 years with them, I can say that they have been so amazing and I am proud to be a part of the team, everyone are awesome and Thanks you so much for all the support!
Hi! I'm Kirby Kelly. I am a 17 year old High School Senior from Chicago, Illinois. I grew up riding at a small hill called Raging Buffalo. During the winter, I reside in Breckenridge, Colorado. There, I train on the mountains and workout in the gym almost everyday. My main focus is halfpipe but I love to ride park and enjoy sick powder days. I hope to be an inspiration to young female athletes, showing them that hard work and a having a great attitude will lead the way to personal success.
I started competing in local USASA contests when I was 8, this is where it all started for me. I made it to Nationals and my snowboarding really took off. This season, I plan on competing in the Grand Prix, U.S. Open and European Open. I've had the awesome experiences of traveling to New Zealand, Spain and Italy for training and competitions. I have met some awesome people and made great friends along the way.
When I’m not snowboarding, I like to spend time with my family and friends, skateboard and bike. I have two of the coolest brothers ever, CJ And John. Right now, I'm finishing my high-school credits and will graduate in May.
Growing up as a part of the Roxy team has been amazing. The people, the product, and the opportunities have allowed me to, well, to be me. And for that, I am so grateful!
My name is Zoya Lynch, I am a 21 yr old freeskier, I live in Revelstoke, BC. I am in love with the mountains! I spend my winters chasing snow and skiing peaks in the British Columbia backcountry. When I am not on my skis I am taking photos and making film inspired by the mountains. I love studying and practicing vinyasa yoga. Being on the Roxy team is a dream come true, I am always inspired by the rest of the snow and surf ladies!
Hi, I’m Maddie Mastro and I am 12 years old. I love to snowboard. I have been snowboarding since I was six, but I started skiing at the age of two. I like to snowboard in different places; California and Colorado are two of my favorites. I love riding halfpipe and slopestyle. I love to ride with my friends and I enjoy hanging out with my friends on and off the hill.
I live in Wrightwood California, and have 3 dogs, 1cat, and a pet rat. I also love playing soccer and running cross-country. I have recently become interested in surfing. I’m in middle school, and I enjoy being involved in many school activities. In the future I hope to be a professional snowboarder and possibly a veterinarian. My dream is to go to the Olympics. I love Roxy and am honored to be a part of the Roxy Team. The people who work there are amazing!
Hi, I’m Jordie Karlinski and I’m from Snowmass Village, Colorado. When my parents decided to move my family from Southern California to Aspen Colorado when I was 6 years old, they decided to put my sister, brother, and me in snowboarding lessons. For the first year I struggled and remember crying a lot. My parents then enrolled us in Aspen Valley Snowboard Club where we had amazing coaches and we started competing in racing events. It wasn’t until I was in high school that I started to hit rails and jumps, and I have been hooked ever since. This past April I was lucky enough to make the US Snowboard Slopestyle team and now I have the privilege to be coached under Bill Enos and ride with little hulk smash, Ty Walker. In my spare time I love to be outdoors, hiking, biking, or golfing. I am super excited to be apart of Roxy now because it is a team full of inspiring ladies who have accomplished so much in their snowboarding careers. It is a privilege for me to ride with any of these amazing women! For the upcoming season I will be focusing primarily on World Cup events to ultimately qualify for the 2014 Olympics in Russia. Being in the Olympics has always been a dream of mine, and ever since slopestyle became an official Olympic event last year, I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Snowboarding has always been a huge part of my life, and I am grateful for all the amazing friends I have met and great places I have traveled to because of it.
