    Bought an 8 for my 7 year old who's very skinny and fit perfectly, so average girls may want to order an extra size up. I also bought a size 16 for my 10 year old who's a little bit fuller and it fits great (will last). This is a great sun shirt and comes in handy for water sports and also hiking.
